Clapton’s original hour-long special was recorded in January of 1992 at Bray Studios in Windsor, England, with the acoustic reworking of Derek and the Dominos’ 1970 classic, “Layla,” ultimately winning a Grammy for Best Rock Song in 1993, with the chart-topping, 10x-platinum selling Unplugged also taking home Album of the Year.
