BTSJin appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (November 20), taking part in an interview while also making his solo US TV debut performance. Jin revealed that one of his most prized possessions is a guitar given to him by Coldplay’s Chris Martin. “I was hanging out with Chris Martin, and he had a guitar from his tour. I jokingly asked him, ‘Can I have this guitar?’” Jin explained. “Chris Martin was like, ‘Of course!’ I was so happy. Now it’s a family heirloom.” Jin and BTS joined Coldplay on their Grammy-nominated, chart-topping Music of the Spheres tune, “My Universe.” Jin and Martin also collaborated on the K-pop star’s 2022 debut solo single “The Astronaut.” “I really, really love Coldplay,” Jin gushed. “A few years ago, Chris Martin gave me a song he wrote. We worked on it together, and it was an honor for me.” Jin later performed “Running Wild” from Happy, his first late-night appearance since completing his mandatory military service in June.
